PRODUCTION FAQ

MOQ
Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs)
Every brand is at a different stage of growth, so we aim to keep our MOQ requirements as flexible as possible while ensuring efficiency in production. Our standard MOQ is 25 units per style, per color. This allows us to maintain consistency and quality while keeping production viable.
We also understand that smaller or emerging brands may be testing the market or developing capsule collections, while more established brands may require larger runs. For this reason, MOQs can sometimes be adjusted based on your total order quantity across styles, fabrics, or categories.
Our goal is to find the right balance between your brand’s needs and our production capacity, so we’re always open to discussing options that best support your growth.

PRICING
Our pricing is tailored to each client and depends on a number of factors, including fabric selection, trims, style complexity, and total order volume. As a general guideline, production costs typically begin at:
• USD $10-$12 per piece for basic tops and bottoms
• USD $18 per piece for one-piece garments
Because every style is unique, we do require creating a sample before confirming final production costs. This ensures accuracy in pricing, quality, and fit.
We’re also happy to work closely with you to provide realistic quotes that align with your targets and budget, while maintaining the highest standard of craftsmanship.

SAMPLE LEAD TIMES
Lead Times
Our standard lead time for samples is approximately 12 weeks, starting from the date we receive all finalized information, including specs, reference images, detailed notes, and a completed Sample Order Sheet.
To keep projects on schedule, it’s important that requested materials (such as artwork, approvals, or additional details) are provided promptly. If these items are not submitted within a reasonable timeframe (typically one week from request), it may result in delays or your project being moved behind other clients in the production queue.
Please note that more complex developments — such as new techniques, custom detailing, or specialty fabric treatments — may also extend the sampling timeline.
This approach ensures fairness to all clients and helps us deliver your samples at the highest quality, on time.

BULK PRODUCTION LEAD TIMES
Bulk Production
Bulk production lead times are generally 12 weeks from Purchase Order (PO) placement, provided that all fits, color strike-offs, and salesman samples have been approved prior to the start of production.
To secure production, we require a 50% deposit at the time of PO placement, with the remaining balance due prior to shipment. Please note that any delays in approvals or outstanding information may result in a later delivery date, as production cannot begin until all elements are finalized.
This process ensures accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery for every client.

FABRIC SOURCING
Imported Fabrics
If you choose to use imported fabrics, we have a wide range of options available. Please note that these fabrics come with minimum order quantities (MOQs) set by our suppliers, and you will be responsible for meeting these requirements. Generally, the MOQ is around 75 yards, though this can often be spread across multiple styles within your collection.
Imported fabrics are typically sourced from other countries and often include eco-friendly or sustainable options, allowing you to maintain both quality and environmental responsibility in your line. Bali also offers a fantastic range of high-quality fabrics locally, providing excellent alternatives that may reduce costs and lead times.
-
DEVELOPMENT
“Development” refers to the process of creating your first samples. Many emerging designers may not yet have experience with tech packs, specifications, or garment measurements, but we work closely with you to ensure your ideas are accurately communicated to our sewers.
Development also encompasses creating new techniques, such as embroidery, beading motifs, or custom textile prints. We guide you through this process, collaborating to turn your concepts into high-quality, producible garments.
-
CONSULTING
Consulting Services
For emerging brands needing guidance, we offer a consulting service for a fee. This service is ideal for helping you get started with your brand, including advice on tech packs, fabric selection, sizing, production planning, and development strategies.
Consulting is typically offered on an hourly basis, for example:
• USD $75–$100 per hour, depending on the scope of the meeting and level of guidance required.
Our goal is to provide focused support that helps you navigate the production process efficiently and confidently, ensuring your brand is set up for success.
